Charleson was up to his his old tricks again, this time going through the internet. Ever since the police were watching out for him at house building, refurbishment and house extension areas, he had been careful to keep away.

Charleson took up a computer course where he learned about computers, internet connection and doing business on-line. He was particularly interested in the booking on-line facilities offered by many businesses, such as airlines, cinemas, restaurants, shows and others. His mind worked furiously as he thought about the convenience and invisibility of internet.

Charleson later enrolled in a web site design class, and set up his own web site. He was smart enough to keep the site simple with a catchy tagline 'Professional, Reliable and Cheap' . He promoted his services as an independent contractor for house extension and refurbishment works. He claimed to have strategic alliances with waste management companies, waste disposal and recycling services. Charleson consulted a friend who worked with a web software development company, and had him set up a booking on-line facility on his web site.

Charleson offered free consultation and advice to house owners. If they needed him to visit their residence and provide on site advice or recommendations, he would do so at no charge or obligation. However they were required to do booking on-line,as his schedules were rather full. If they insisted that he fit them into his schedules, they would need to pay a small commitment fee. This fee would be refunded if they decided not to take up his services, or deducted from the total bill. Needless to say, the house owners would not see him or their money again.

Charleson had invested in a laptop which he carried with him every where. He could work at any place where there was internet connection such as internet cafes or wifi hot spots. To him, as long there was internet connection, there would be money credited to his bank account. Well, it could not continue forever. Complaints and reports of his scam started flowing in. His website was closed down, his IP address blacklisted and his bank account suspended. The police however had yet to catch him. When they finally raided his flat, all they found was an empty room! Looked like Charleson was on the move again!
