When I was in my teenage years where internet was not accessible from home and only a few numbers of houses had the internet connection, internet cafe has become the most visited place not only by youngsters, but also adults. I, myself, used to spend a few hours surfing on the internet at the internet cafe and I never even thought that someday I would do most of the things from the internet including making booking on-line for my flight ticket.

At that time, besides surfing, chatting on the net was so popular and there was a friend that I knew of who have gotten married to the man he met from the internet. This friend was living in Asia and the man was in Europe. They have become friends and their relationship has grown throughout the years, so, they decided to meet up in person and not very long after that, they were united in marriage.

Usually, when I chatted with the other people from the other side of the world,I did not make any connections with them. As soon as the three-hours of my time were up, I went home or somewhere else with my friends. On the following visits, I would chat with other different people again. Generally, we talked about life at one's places as I was such a curious young woman back then. I always wondered how the cultures and people of other countries were.

These days, I seldom go to the internet cafe because I now can surf the net freely from the comfort of my home except that when the connection was out and I had to make urgent booking on-line. More and more people are aware with the web development and this technology has become an important part of our lives.

Other than the usual internet surfing, I mainly use the internet for online shopping, social networking, working online and many things. As I am a frequent traveller, it is very convenient for me to do the booking on-line for the air ticket and accommodation. In short, internet just makes my life easier and easier.
