Webtech Advise

I was reading a book the other day on a certain web design company. It was called Designing your own Web Site at your own Pace. To tell you about the story is just not me. You see, I can't stand to pick up a book and read it, unless it is for school or college.

It covered topics over what is aninternet connection, how do you define internet explorer, what are connections, and so on. So many chapters, but I only wanted to know about a few. I decided to sit next to my computer so I could follow along with the book. If I could sit next to the computer and be able to follow along with the book, it would help me a lot.

I looked through the book and was picking out chapters I wanted to read. The first one was internet connection. Well, I knew what that meant cause you have to have internet connection to be connected to the computer. But did you know if just one of your wires was wrong, your computer would not work, and could possibly hurt your computer! That is why it is best when getting your internet connection, it is best to have someone else hook it up for you, or read the instructions as you are doing it.

The next one was working off-line. I knew about that except did not know that some web pages you view can be off-line. Like playing your games, some of those are off-line and you do not need a connection to play them. Interesting facts, I think!

Now here comes the one I like, internet explorer. From reading this book, internet explorer is just a browser. You can use FireFox, excite, yahoo. msn, internet explorer, start sampling, or if you have web page that you designed yourself or someone else, you can use that as your home page. Internet explorer is just a home page.

Here the whole time I was thinking internet explorer was your internet connection and that was the page you had to have up to start your computer. I knew this book would help me a lot. I think I am going to read through some more of it, cause it is really interesting.
