Jess loved to surf the web and she also loved going on messenger to talk to all of her friends, she had had her own email since she was 11 years old and she loved to use the email and messenger and surf the web at the same time. When she had to reroute her Internet she was very sad because it took a very very long time and she couldn't survive without the Internet for too long because she had became an addict. She is an addict to messenger and an addict to email also when she doesn't surf the web she is probably on messenger talking to her friends. The Internet has had some harmful effects on children but still their parents carry on letting them use it like Jess did but Jess fount out the hard way that the Internet wasn't all fun and games. She met a 14 year old boy on the Internet and they decided to meet in real life, although as you all know, people do lie and he lied, instead of being a 14 year old he was a 40 year old middle aged man with grey hair who wanted to do not very nice things to her, when she seen him she knew she had made a terrible mistake and she ran home to her mum and they had no choice but to tell the police of what had happened. The police instantly came down to the house and got details of what had happened.

Jess felt so ashamed that this had happend and she was very embarrsed because everyone at school teased her and said that she dates people from the Internet but this was not true. Her mum decided to come in to school to set the bullys straight and she wrote a complaint complaining about them. The man she had met off the Internet got arrested and questions for false identity and fraud he was later setanced to 12 months in prison which some people say it isn't very long as his intentions were obviously very very very dangerous.
