Webtech Advise

I was watching what I thought was an old movie the other night. It was set in Russia and the couple met in only what must have been an Internet Cafe. The only thing that was remarkable about the place was every little table had a monitor attached and a keyboard. Like most of us around the world I am curious about things I haven’t yet experienced, so I decided to find out about them. I sent out messages on the messenger program I have and began to ask some of my contacts if they had an internet café in the area where they lived. I asked questions if they did like, what did they think of such a place. I didn’t get many responses today, but it’s early in the day. I hope to get some kind of idea from my friends what this concept must be like. The next place I decided to try and get more information was a search engine. I pulled a browser and I typed in Internet Cafe into the search engine I use and I got several pages of hits. One of the first ones that I got was captioned the first internet café in New York City.

With mybrowser I can pull up several of these hits into separate windows and can go through each at my leisure and I can begin to narrowed down what I want to find out easier. The information I've located I can save to for others who want to know what I found as well. I did find some very interesting facts. The Internet Cafe was started in 1971. Internet cafés are located worldwide, and many people use them when traveling to access webmail and instant messaging services. In this way they can keep in touch with family and friends. The Browser is a sort of a gateway into communication with the world.

I sent this out to a friend in messenger who also was looking into what this was all about. I sent her the URLs I had found about it. The Web Design on this first web site was so clean and clear to understand. I saved several of these URLs so I could read up on more of the history and I could send them as contacts want more information. She told me she had heard of this one in New York City from one of her contacts in her Messenger program and that they go there at least twice a week. They do serve food and drinks. It’s just like a regular café only you pay for internet access by the hour or you can buy it for a week or more. I found this to be very interesting information. I wouldn’t have thought they would serve food and drink along with the equipment, but they do.
